Solaris (Andrei Tarkovsky, 1972)

Some pretty big themes are explored here – Life, Death, Relationships, Coming to terms with the past, the fragmentary nature of ones own consciousness and memories and so many more. Moving at a snail’s pace it is nonetheless gripping and absorbing. A bolt on dead cert. candidate for being there amongst one of the most intelligent films ever made.
